For our last L’After session of the year, we like to be active and we like to spend a lot of time outside. This time of years brings both cold, rainy days as well as beautiful, blissful sunny days and we make the best of both!
Mythbusters took us some wild places this past session. From Coke and Mentos (less than satisfying) mini-explosions and solving the world’s hardest riddle to bubble experiments and deciphering secret codes. One of the best days though was making catapults and launching mini-marshmallows!
Here are some images of the enthusiasm students displayed when solving riddles earlier in the session.
SCIENCE ROCKS! Thanks Devin and Corinna!
Paula’s Make Cool Art class spent the last two weeks of the program tie-dyeing socks and tee-shirts and marbling fabric squares and hats. All the kids were so inspired by the beautiful colors!
Thankfully, we had an incredibly beautiful day on tie-dye day so we could getr ellay messy outside.
The following week, we weren’t as lucky weather wise, but that didn’t stop the creativity from flowing. Kids were able to make two fabric squares and a hat. Each kid chose their colors and swirled them together to see what was the surprising result!
UPDATE: Jedi Training, Aikido, Mythbusters and Make Cool Art are FULL. But new enrollments are welcome for other programs. Just contact Leigh at firstname.lastname@example.org.
